Hello,
I am shopping for a new cell phone, and my main requirement is the ease of use in making and recieving calls and small size. I am not really interested in all the bells and whistles, that is why I have my TH55 :D .
What do you like about the Razr? What don't you like about it?
Thank you for your opinion.

I do not own the Razr, but i have used it multiple time. personally, i believe that it is a waste of money because it isn't very different from any other camera phone. The number keys are kinda strange to me because i found myself not knowing if i pressed a key or not. It is just as easy to use as any other phone, but they jack the price up only because of the name (Motorola) and the overall design. I also know someone who returned the phone after it simply snapped at the hinges because it was so fragile.

My final word: don't buy it - if u do, ur buying it for the looks, not the quality

I am going to buy the Sony Ericsson S710a, its simply amazing, or at least to me!!

Thank you for the comments. I am not really interested in a camera phone, just a PHONE! Can't get one of those thingies nowadays. I use if for business mainly (95%) and would like bluetooth. Any other suggestions? Anybody?

um, i don't know of any fone thats bluetooth and no camera. I would recommend the motorola mpx220.

but if you want a simple bluetooth fone, i would say you get the motorola v600

I have just bought a RAZR and I cannot fault it as a basic phone that makes and receives calls, and has decent bluetooth functionality. The camera is not top notch (only 0.3MP) but like you, I dont use the built in camera tbh.

The only problem is that I dont have a driver for the phone for my Sony Clie. With any phone you are considering, if you want to link it up to your TH55, make sure it is supported.

Unlike BennieBoi I find the keypad is very sturdy and reassuring. It's easy to start using the TXT facilities and write long messages at high speed. The intelligent TXT function is far better than Nokia. Also the backlight on the keypad is incredibly clear for using it in the dark. Again far better than the Nokia offerings.

The camera weighs next to nothing and is a great size for putting in the pocket of your jeans or whatever. It's wider than some phones but because it's so flat, the width goes unnoticed. You also get a good leather case for throwing the phone into a bag with all your junk. Although you need to remove the phone from the case to use it, it is good for transporting it around.

You get the link cable, charger, single headphone all for nothing. Also a really good piece of PC software for managing your phone.

I like this phone alot compared to my old Nokia 6610i. Once you get rid of all the annoying bells and whistles from the phone profile, it works quickly and efficiently.

As for price, I got this in the UK on an O2 tariff. The phone itself was free. I got a free bluetooth headset worth £70. Plus half price line rental for 6 months.

Great deal. Great phone. Thumbs up from me!

I like my RAZR. Very slim, so very shirt-pocketable. Good sound level, better reception than my previous phones. Somewhat braindead PC-synchronization software; the phone book only takes one number per entry, so you wind up with multiple entries (with different type-icons) for people with multiple numbers. This also means it doesn't interface to the Palm address book at all. No VCard support.

Battery life is good, as long as you don't use Bluetooth all the time. Haven't yet got it working with my UX50, but Cingular is generally hard to get working with Palms anyhow.

What'd I miss?

Thank you for all your comments. My old phone died yesterday and I ended up purchasing the Razr. The only thing that I did not get was any software to sync it. I did hook it up to my computer using a mini usb cable I have, and the computer recognized new hardware but could not find any drivers (since I did not get a CD.)
I like the phone alot. Cleaned up the menus a little and I love it.
Thank you all.

You dont need a razr since you use it mainly for work. Your probably wont be text messaging or taking pictures with the phone. Although I shouldn't be talking because I often buy gadgets with more than what I need (like Radio on an mp3 player, when you have better music on your mp3 player anyways)
