I'm suprised no one has commented on this story: http://palminfocenter.com/view_story.asp?ID=5150          This is not exactly a ground breaking pda but it is a part of the zire family and it has arm and several other sony inspired features.

It sure would undercut Sony if the Zire pictured is the actual device. Sony might be forced to drop the price of their models. Heh, imagine that, a NX70V for $400. ;-)

The replacement for the M515? I think that $299 would be a great price for that unit, but it also means that Palm may be taking a hit-a hit that they may not be able to cover so well. We'll have to see, with all of these PDAs comin in at such low prices, its great to be a consumer again :)

I wonder how many of those 850,000 people who bought the first zire units will upgrade to this model?

The Zire 71 is gonan be soem serious competiton for the SJ33 and Axim IMHO. I can't think of any other pda that has an integrated camera at that price point! Very cool IMHO....

The fact that it has an arm processor is what impressed me more than the camera.  This unit will be able to handle xcade which the sj33 can't.  This palm should be what gets OS5 into more peoples hand's
