I'm still liking my TG-50, but it's just not working for my classes and stuff. It made a pretty nice multimedia device, and it's still nice for Avantgo and Netfront.. but I need something with a good keyboard.
I'll get to the point..
I'm thinking of buying an hp Jornada 720.
It's cheaper than most small laptops on the used market, and it has enough driver and software support to be a funtional internet thingy if I'm at school or something and don't have my clie.
So, any advice?

Those things are huge!!! Why not just buy an external keyboard for your TG50?

I've pondered getting an external keyboard, but I've had friends with them and it just looks: a. silly and b. flimsy. Quite frankly, I'm thrilled with the prospect of using CF and PCMCIA cards, too. I can pick up a NEC Mobilepro with a nice keyboard and CE 3.0 for $100. I don't plan to ever sync this thing except to install apps, either, so my exposure to the (toxic) Activesync will be almost nil. Unless there is a compelling reason NOT to buy, I'll get one.

I actually just talked to an owner of one of these. I'll probably be better off with a ~P2 subnotebook.

You should get one of these (http://www.vintage-computer.com/compaq_portable.shtml) instead. They're not that expensive. :o

Part of me still wants an NEC MobilePro.. the other part is willing to get a Jornada for some evil reason, and another part just says, "Stop bickering!"
