the guy in support center hard resetted my device after sending it for warranty last week. now my ClieCamera counter back to 00000 again.. :( And the problem now is I keep all my photos in the same archive folder in my comp. The newest photos that I taken conflicts with the old photos. May I know how can I set the number back to 400++? I tried RescoExplorer to search for the cliecamera database, but failed to trick it. :(

Hmm, that's a good question... Clie Camera has an option to reset the numbers, but this isn't what you want...
If you can't find the database to edit.. maybe you could try this. I don't know how it will work, but maybe try it.
Get a program or write a shell script/batch script that will touch as many files as you need (create an empty file).
Thus, make a loop that will create files from 0 to 500 or something. Since they will be empty files, they won't fill up your memory easily. Then try taking pictures again. After that, delete the empty files and see if Clie Camera will continue assigning file names from that point onwards...
The only thing I fear is that after you remove the empty files, it may just start going back to 0 again...
That's all I can think of for now..

ok, I dunno how to say, it works! :D
I make myself a program as how you mention that create empty files and then transfer it to my internal media, and then take a shot, done! the number skip until 400+. hehe! Thx rcxAsh for the GREAT IDEA! Works like a charm! :D
All you need to do is talk a picture.
Then in File Manager rename it to the number you want to start with.
The next picture you take will be the next in sequence.
eg if you renamed it to DSC00100.JPG the next picture taken will be DSC00101.JPG.
I use this to change the numbers for work and pleasure so when they transfere I can easily identify them.

really? I didn't know the next numbers will automatically follow what you rename the file to, that's pretty sweet...thanks :)
