Hi folks,

I'm finally (if all the planets align correctly) am going to get my NZ this saturday. I've done a searcn in the NZ fourm for posts related to battery strength and how to charge to get the best battery life.

The problem is, there are a butt-load of posts on the subject. Has anybody out there written a pseudo complete "best practices" on it?

This definitely seems like something that should be in the tutorials section (there are a measly three there right now) so that new NZ owners like myself don't have to dig through the threads.

But minimally is there any one key thread that somebody could point me to while I continue my searching?

Thanks in advance,

-chris

Here are my thoughts,

FIrst thing is resist all emotions and let the NZ90 charge for a mimnum of 4 hours or longer first. Read the "read this first" booklet that comes with it.

From there, go ahead and start doing the hookups etc. I have found from experience that by doing that I have no problems with the batteries unless they are defective to begin with.

Ahh... got it. Ok. I can do that. So charge it for min. 4 hours before doing *anything* else. Easy enough.

I also found that this thread *seemed* to have the most helpful information on getting the best bang for your battery buck (especially the postings by Ark):
