Not really sure who might be able to help me on this one.
I would like to figure out if it is possible to take a native CLIE app like RemoteCam on the ux50 and move it to another handheld like the uk version th55/e that has the built-in bluetooth?
Would it be like doing the same with the CLIE remote control program from say an NZ90 to a ux50? Does a utility exist to be able to do this with almost any program you want provided all libraries, utilities necessary are transferred?
Thanks!

Should be since all TH55 users use the UX's Movie Recorder :) So dependant on the best device :) J/k

Tsk Tsk Tsk... I use VZ Netfront 3.1 that I translated. :)
So your dependant on the UX, I'm dependant on the VZ.

I tried copying RemoteCam using McFile to my MSPRO but that did not work. Any of you guys or gals can try another method that might work?
I don't have File Z installed right now so I don't know if it will work.
So basically "salesrep's" question is: "How can he copy Remote Cam application of the UX50 and transfer it to his TH55/E?"

What exactly does RemoteCam do? I never used it?

RemoteCam works with a bluetooth-enabled Sony camcorder or still-camera and basically allows the remote operation (10m, but hey. . .) via bluetooth of that camera.
You can control zoom, pan, and tilt operations FROM the ux50 WITH a live video feed on the screen of what the camcorder is recording. This is the primary reason I gave up my Tungsten T3 for the (much greater) capabilities of the Sony CLIE line of pda's. It has turned out to be a fantastic feature for lots of the video stuff I'm into (I have 4 year old twin girls. )
After recently finding out about the UK version of the th55 with bluetooth, I have trying to find out whether or not I would be able to get the RemoteCam program (and any associated libraries) onto the th55/e.
Thanks again for the help on this one! :)

I'd like to use something like RemoteCam between two TH55/E-1s. Can a non-UX user find this app on the 'net somewhere for download?
I searched around and only found Japanese language pages so far...

OK, I installed RemoteCam on one of my TH55/Es.
Then I took the second TH55/E and started the camera.
On the first Clié, I launched RemoteCam, it saw the second Clié and attemped to connect. The second Clié said "connection in progress" and in RemoteCam a countdown started. Ultimately the Remote app said that the device wasn't responding. :( So it didn't work, but they established a good connection.
I also tried putting the second TH into MovieRec, but that didn't help.
Lastly, I tried installing RemoteCam onto both THs, but that didn't help either.
All in all, this seems like it's really CLOSE to working. Is there some type of resource file that I need to install on the "picture sending" TH so that the other Clié will control it?
Has anyone gotten this to work with two sony Bluetooth Cliés?
This app has some amazing potential!

I think its meant to work with Digital Cameras/Camcorders w/ Bluetooth not just any device.
