I'm a newbie looking for first PDA and want this one but it looks like the screen is smaller then the t615c? Is this true?

And also is this a good palm for a newbie?

First off, the screen looks so much smaller than the 615 because it doesn't have a dedicated grafitti area, take that away from the 615 and the screen is barely smaller. This unit is a great device for a newbie, in my opinion. If you don't want to spend $400 I would suggest the T665 or the SJ33, these are find machines. The T665 is now discontinued so it should be $250 or a little more, (compusa had it last week for $229 on sale), the SJ33 just came out about 1 month ago and is $300, the differences are as follows: Cosmetic differences, Extended IR on the T665 allows for a remote commander, the T665 has a vibrating aarm function, Other than that they are Identicle. The Tg50 runso palm os 5 and thus has a voice recorder, kind of nice. The T665 and SJ33 have palm os 4.1, so no voice recorder and different skin all together.

Hey, size doesn't matter! It still is an awesome 320*3220 screen. I do wish the TG50 had a vibrate alert thought.

I do agree the screen is beautiful but has a fatal flaw; the wavy lines on the bottom. After spending hours at the Circuit City looking at the TG50 I had to decide against it because of the lines. I don't think that for $400 I should have to put up with something like that.

It takes some getting used too, but they aren't that bad at all. For me there are more pros then cons with the TG50, but I do have some minor gripes. The keyboard can be cumbersome to use, but I'm now faster with it then I ever was with Graffiti. I would like to see a small clamshell device (the height of a TG50) with a 320*480 screen and the keyboard of the TG50. Unfortunatley, such as device would be quite a bit thicker then the current TG series.
