If I calibrate the screen ("stagelight screen") using digitizer the status bar is no longer accessible when the the T3 is open. Furthermore, if I need to tap on the lower part of the screen, I have to tap on the statusbar. When the T3 is closed, there are no problems. I have not noticed any drifting.

Any help?

Thanks.

You should use "Search Forums" before posting. It is very common T3 problem. If your T3 has a warranty you should get a new one. If not you have a problem.

You have to take your T3 to seller or service. That's all.

I also own a T|T3. Before returning your device, try DigiE (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/digie.shtml). It's the only digitizer that has worked for me. It not only works, but it is free.

Make sure when you run the program, you run it when the slider is open.

Also, move the program onto your sd card after your done. I don't remember exactly why, but I think it's because the screen won't automatically turn off if DigiE is in memory.

Thanks for your help. Tried DigiE. Helped me to calibrate the lower part of the screen, but then the screen got misaligned in the middle. Waranty is run out - so I have to decide whether I want the screen to function properly when the T3 is closed or 60% when open...

I had a T2 where I experienced similar problems. I wonder why? Is it because of poor quality on the screens? I mostly enter data by stylus since I am mostly on the road - can that be the reason.

Wow, your digitizer really is screwed up!

If you use your stylus alot, maybe your screen is scratched? I replaced a friends Zire 31 screen one time because his screen was scratched and wouldn't digitize properly. Scratched very badly, I might add.

Also you might want to look for any dirt or dust stuck under the edges of the screen. Run a peice of paper in there to see if that's the proglem. I've had that happen to me.

I have used screen protector from day one.

Ran a piece of paper under the edges of the screen. Seems to be something that the paper touches. Dust or wires?

I have the same problem as Tomklaus. I've used a screen protector and the screen is very clean. I've heard of people taking apart their PDA and putting it back together, but the reports are varying on the success.

My digitizer is definitely non-linear in the Y-axis. I'm looking into various resources to see if this can be remedied by software, but so far my conclusion is that the OS 5.2.1 doesn't offer the kind of system support needed for that.
