RIDICULOUSLY good game, but also not the same value as buying it for Xbox. The Live gameplay modes of Splinter Cell are phenomenal. Either way, buy it.

Cool, that's all I needed to hear. I'm going to pick it up later this week. :) Then I'm buying Resident Evil 4. Would've bought it first if it had cooperative play.

Me buying a XBox, that's not going to happen. ;) The only game I've really liked on that unit was Halo and it's not as good as Metroid Prime IMO, nor as good as the PC version, because of the controls. I also can't stand the "long" load times on the XBox. Blah. *rant* :)

My GC has a handle for carrying and does just fine, this would only be for local play, so I can hang out and drink with one of my buddies. I use my PC for on-line gaming through Battlenet, because it's free, and because I only play Warcraft 3 mods 90% of the time. :D

If you liked Metroid Prime more than Halo then you should have gotten Resident Evil 4 first. You said you're getting Splinter Cell first because it has multiplayer, well Halo has one of the best multiplayer experiences possible on a game console, Metroid Prime is just a single-player fly-by. Resident Evil 4 is one of the best videogames I've ever seen in my life. If you own a Gamecube then you are required by law to purchase it immediately. Splinter Cell is spectacular, but Resident Evil 4 is a life-changing experience.

Splinter Cell is my favorite game series after GTA. I have the previous two for PS2, and originally bought the new one as well, but after seeing how much better the Xbox version is, I exchanged it and bought an X-box to play the new one. I'm almost done with it, and it's great. Basically more of the same from the previous games with a few new tricks. I'd love to play it right now, but my trigger finger is broken, so it will have to wait. :(

BTW, when I say the Xbox version is "better" I don't mean the graphics, which I couldn't care less about, I mean they designed the levels differently because the limitations of the PS2 made it so the levels had to be more linear, so there are whole rooms/areas that are different or absent. Since it affected actual gameplay in what was my most-anticipated game of the year, I felt it was time to get an Xbox.

Whatever system you play it on, it's a great game and I highly recommend it!

Cooperative Cooperative Cooperative This is why I liked and played Halo. :) Halo and GoldenEye on the N64 are definately the best split-screen multiplayer console games, but I like cooperative options better. As a single player game, I liked Halo better on my PC. The only downfall, was that the mouse and keyboard made it way toooo easy. The only reason I didn't buy RE4 was because of its thumb-aiming system. I really don't like this at all on any console game, including Halo. But my friend swears by it and the reviews have only been great, so I'm going to play it anyways. If Halo didn't have a cooperative option, I probably would've never played it all they way through. Metroid Prime gave me a lock-on feature that didn't cheese the game at all and it wasn't just another FPS like Halo. It's definitely one of my all time favorite games. I like my action with a bit of puzzle mixed in. :)

RE4 will be next. Do remember "Alone in the Dark" on the PC, it's the grand daddy of all Resident Evil type games and one of my favorites. :)

But first I want to play another cooperative game. We just played that StarWars Lego game on the PS2 the other week. :D And the reason I play Warcraf 3 so much, is because all the mod maps we download are coopertive. :) *rambles*

Your trigger finger? I was reading that you get a bonus level on the XBox and now the PC. I'm going to buy a XBox2, but not planing on getting the behemoth. Most of my friends nodded theirs, so that would be the only reason I would get one. :)

I should've probably asked this first before rambling on, but is Splinter Cell's cooperative mode a side mission, or is through the entire game?

Another game I like that is cooperative is a bonus with Rogue Squadron 3. They included RS2 2 player, which for single players, was one of the best of its type. RS3 single player is absolutely awful and was a real disappointment.
