Take out the memory stick (assuming one is in the unit), I had this problem, the screen went into a fatal alert and nothing would work, I hit the reset button for a soft reset, then the palm screen kept flashing on and off, I tried a hard reset and it didn't work either, so I took out my memory stick and wa la the stupid thing finally reset. I lost everything on the clie AND on the memory stick, but at least my CLie was brought back to life;)

well do it at your own risk and only if your warranty is over so here are the inst
unscrew your unit
undo the battery wire from the m/board for few seconds and replug it should start working

Its not that easy, he needs pix to show him how to do all this carefully, I don't believe in telling someone just to unscrew the unit, there are a load of things that could go wrong. Next, since the T665 came out last june or july it should be under warranty from sony.

well thats what i thought when i purchased mine new from a discount store selling on ebay only to be told that any purchases made on ebay (even if its new ) will not have any warranties well i like clie but that made me upset. i guess they dont care if they upset buyers or not

Sony said that?? That pisses me off, though there are a lot of theives on ebay and you don't know who can be 100% trusted, so I se why Sony does this, but it still makes me mad.

i could understand if i had bought from joe blow then yes but its a discount store selling b/new that really pissed me and all it needed was to open the case and remove the battery wire and put back again like Ahhl is having problem

Go into excel and make yourself an invoice for an electronics store in your area. Then submit that receipt with your device. They wont even call and check, and poof instant warranty.
