VZ-90 with stowaway wireless IR keyboard, 1 gig memory stick, and 1 gig SD card with CF adapter. My UX 50 for comparison.

Yeah...I think I would really use it on a flight back home or something. But I definetely would not carry it around like I do my UX.

Sorry to derail, but just a question for Loki: Is that the PalmOne Universal Wireless keyboard you are using? If so, then that answers my question regarding Clie compatibility.

it's not all that un-portable...
The keyboard folds up fairly compact. Comes with its own carrying case. Maybe not something you would carry in your pocket along with the VZ-90, but definitely something small enough to fit in a school bag or briefcase.
The keyboard does require a flat surface to work well.
Yes, it's the palm branded folding Stowaway keyboard, I went to the stowaway website and downloaded the keyboard driver for the Clie UX, works perfectly. :D

No it's the Japanese OS, I used Cliepet's translation overwrite and JAm's translated Netfont. I've also replaced most of the Japanese apps like addressbook and datebook with english 3rd party equivalents. The rest of the Japanese commands I would figure out using my UX-50.

Yes, the VZ came with the remote control wand included, the earphones or earbuds have soft tips so that it seals around your ears blocking background noise to achieve a purer sound. A little awkwad feeling at first, but you get use to it.

The VZ comes with lots of great stuff, and in AMAZING packaging! i have the same setup (VZ/keyboard combo) and it works quite well.
Re: translation- CliePet's zip translates ~35% of the system, then JAm's Media Launcher and Netfront account for another 15%. the other 50% is up to you. I personally moved a lot of the apps from my TH/UX to the VZ to account for the language difference and use SharkROM to hide everything else. i only did resource editing on one or two apps.

Man, that thing is sooo thick...wth is SONY thinking. Looks soooo nice though...I think that the designer of the VZ is a woman. Cause of the looks and size. She probably figured that its not a bad size for a purse.

I doubt the VZ designer (man or woman) thought it was good size for a purse. It looks too large for a normal purse. They probably thought it would be good in a briefcase or messanger bag.

Dude, you are going to get a lot of women after you talking like that. :D
Well... you do have a point, the VZ is very thick and heavy compared to the UX. When I first got the VZ, I seriously thought that I was going to stick with my UX-50. The UX-50 is very elegant, small, and stylish. Fits fine in my pocket, really a nice unit.
For me the major draw-backs for the UX were the small screen, very limited battery life, and very, very limited RAM. I have barely 3 mb's left on my UX, have to store most apps in the memory stick/internal memory. My battery is usually drained by the end on the day. The screen is extremely small especially for reading medical referenence and drug references. I think that the keyboard was a little hard to use, I'm more used to the Tungsten C's thumbboard (more configuable).
Anyway, after configuring and loading the VZ, my eyes got use to the amazing big screen and at that piont there was no going back. The big amount RAM available is sweet, I still have 23 mb of free space in RAM, I use both external slot, thus have 2 gig of external memory. The VZ's battery is awesome, barely a 15% drain after surfing via Wifi and listening in streaming internet music.
I carry my VZ in a RhinoSkin belt pouch that I brought about 5 or 6 years ago, fits pretty well, not very cumbersome on your belt.
