Did You Win a Treo?

I didn't, but I will like a previous poster give anyone who wants/needs and plans to use a 15% coupon in the Treo store the coupon if the email or PM me. Also I have about 20 Gmail Invites up for grabs.

I did get the 15% off coupon code, but I think everyone gets that if they don't win. I'm really curious to see if anyone actually won one of these devices, or if this was just a big marketing ploy by PalmOne. For some reason these days I find myself highly skeptical of PalmOne... :cool:

PalmOne claimed that they would notify all players within 72 hours (today at 9:00 pm Pacific Time). Perhaps all of us losers were the first to be notified and they haven't notified the winners yet. However, it is starting to look suspicious that no one from this forum has claimed to win a Treo. You would think that with 144 Treos being supposedly given away, at least one person frequenting this forum would have won. :confused:

BTW: No one has asked for my coupon yet. It is still available. :)

one person on TreoCentral reported they had won, but chances are you will not hear of all that won because there were probably a good deal of people who registered for the contest but not frequented all of these boards.

I suspect that most of the people who don't frequent these forums probably would not have known about the contest. At least for me, I did not receive any direct info about the contest from PalmOne, and I'm a registered owner as well as being registered in their developer program. Therefore, I think that most of the people who entered the contest must frequent these forums.

I agree, I couldnt imagine some of the people on the forums didnt win. As you say, I never would have heard about it had it not been for the forums.

Last night I spent a couple of hours browsing various Palm/Treo related forums including TreoCentral. I found only one person who posted that he won a Treo. I saw a half dozen (or less) posts from people claiming to have won a 50% off coupon. Most people posted that they won the 15% coupon/consolation prize. Quite a few people posted that they never heard back from PalmOne. It looks like P1 may have botched this contest. One post even pointed out that the link http://www.palmone.com/treowinners/ still won't display. (I tried it again just now and I still get the message that the url doesn't exist.) As one poster stated, "What good is a lousy 15% coupon that expires on April 26? You can find Treo accessories for a bigger discount than that from non-P1 stores." (Paraphrased.)

if i remember correctly when i read the contest rules (i was bored so i gave them a read)....it said that all of the people who won a treo would be posted at that site with names and emails after may 1st. after may 1st??? they already notiffied people i guess within 72 hours why cant they post it now? i think this contest was a fake.
