NX70vg WHITE SCREEN !! HEEELLppp :D

hi i just bought an nx70vg with no charger from our equivalent of ebay and as soon as i got a charger and plugged her in, the screen came on white and it did nothing.
no buttons are responsive whether pressed or held, including the power button. I have tried a soft reset but to no avail. Then i learned about hard reset and was overjoyed to see the palm icon come up and the not dissapear until i had released the power button, so the unit knows im pressin it! unfortunately i was then gutted by my inability to "press the up key" to hard reset the unit .
its such a nice machine i hope someone can help me out .. prayin this isnt a rom problem ... ive tried unpluggin the battery for 5-10 mins too
have got it on charge but it discharges fully every time i try it because it has no off button and it turns on as soon as the battery is put back in .

Silly question perhaps, but how long did you charge it before trying to switch it on? Suggest you leave it for at least an hour beforehand (even though it shouldn't really need this long).

hi ive left it over nite to charge first it feels to me like it is a problem with the hold button as all the buttons are unresponsive except reset. except i know nothing about these so ill see what some smart bugger has to say:)
