Have any of you been able to get Arvale to run properly on the UX50, I've tried all various screen resolutions and none of them work properly...I've even run UDMH, but still no luck. Every resolution looks horible and disjointed. :(

do you have portrait installed? For me at least, that screws a lot of my games up.

Not sure I understand what you mean by 'portrait installed'?

The application, "Portrait" which enables you to switch fro portrait to landscape and so forth. It's a neat application, but at the moment it's too unstable with some applications.

you dont need portrait to get arvale to work on the UX

I have it on my and its works great in regular landscape mode.

I'm not saying you need...I'm saying it is probably the cause of the problem he's getting if he has it installed.

As mikeUX50 said, I have no problems with Arvale (Demo) on my UX50 running at 480x320. You shouldn't need UDMH to get it to run.

Yeah, I've tried running it at 480x320 but everytime I get to the opening screen, it becomes slightly disjointed, as in the area where the silk screen would be for me (on the left side, as I'm a lefty) is slightly off from the rest of the screen and I am unable to click on any of the screen options...though I do not have any portrait program installed, my silk screen is not the original one, do you think that may be the problem? Also, as I don't have quite 5mg free in Ram so I am running it from internal with MegaCommander that allows you to run programs from internal or MS...perhaps I'll need to invest in PowerRun and move some of my major programs from Ram to internal then???

THanx again guys, you rock :D

Sounds like any one of those could be your problem...

My first guess would be...
Since the database is larger than your available RAM, that could be the issue, in conjunction with UDMH.

In all honesty, PowerRun is a great solution. Personally, I use ZLanucher, which gives a similar functionality, and keep all my games on MS, and many of my other apps on the internal MS. I still have, at this point, over 9 Mb free RAM. Works like a charm, because you can just shuffle things back and forth with a click

Just remember that if your device is working fine otherwise, to do a backup first. :)

Just do a backup first. :)

For sure, I'll grab PowerRun and throw some programs at internal and games on some MS sticks and see if that helps...and MegaCommander has a great back-up program built in,so I'll deffinetelly run a back-up.

Thanx antboy...wow, never thought that I'd ever say that :D
