Uhm, the rumour is still there, and looks strong. The article is only talking about it being released with a different name, and with even more memory than rumoured before. :)

Ah, I thought the 64MB Ram replaced the 4 Gig Microdrive previously rumoured...guess not. What is the point of RAM then? If it has a 4 GiG HD?

Well, 64 Mb of memory means a LOT of apps on board, without having to use the HD or a mem card. I'd certainly like that on my UX. :)

I couldn't see them doing that. It would be pitifully slow for loading apps (kinda like loading big apps from MS). Bearable, but not the "instant on" feeling.

That is essentially what the T5 does with its memory. If I am correct, you can run apps off of the nonvolatile memory as if it were ram, but what it is actually doing is moving them to its hidden ram to do this job. The TX will likely work the same way, except it will be able to do this, as well as have apps stored on the ram normally.
