Is there a way to manually activate the receiver without walking beyond the automatic activation distance? What if I know I'm in the same room as my PDA but it's in a drawer or lost under a pile of junk?

Unfortunately, it doesn't have that feature.

Can we purchase additional "sons" unit for additional gadgets? (Phone, ipod, camera, PSP) or is it a straight 1-mom-to-1-son deal?
I checked out the Proporta site, and did not find separate transmitter units ("sons") for sale. :( I guess we have to buy them as a set.
