Tungsten E Need help with battery issue

I am new to the forum and a new Tungsten e user. I had a PalmVII and recently got a tungsten e. My problem is the battery drains for no apparent reason. I have turned off all alarms, I've turned off the beam. I am using the keylock but to no avail. I actually exchanged my first one for the same reason. This one was working fine and after a couple of weeks it started again. I just did a soft reset this morning to see if it will fix the problem.
My primary application is notes and classroom observation with handi base3. I have a card game I play occasionaly and scrabble. Last night i checked it and it was at about half battery and this morning it would not turn on because the battery had discharged. I am perplexed. Any ideas??? Oh I also set the turn off time to 30 seconds.

i have the saame exact problem with mine and i tired everything nothing works i was told my baterie was gone so....that;'s the end im not spending money on a new battery im just going to wait for the new palms to come out. As for you since it's new u have a different prob. I say return it,wait,get new palm (e2) .
