My palm was flicking the screen, it was kinda weird, like a shortcut or something because when i pressed on the sides a little hard the palm stops flicking but the screen freezes and i had to perform a SR to bring it back to life.

So i did'nt touched it for a while, like 2 months and now it won't turn on, i tried charging it and the led turns on all right, but the palm just won't turn on.

I have been searching all over the net for this problem but it seems that no one have had it, or at least no one have ever posted something similar.

Is there anyway to bring it back to life without calling Sony support?.

Thanx

I actually had this problem once.

The TJ37 was in a aluminum hard case, I slipped and fell ON the TJ37, the handheld didn't get damaged in any way - but it wouldn't respond to any hard keys or the power slide-switch, the LED turned red to show it was charging/plugged in. A soft reset just resulted in a flashing LCD backlight. I had to hard reset twice before it would be in a usable state. (Then I restored from my MS Backup and i was back in business in minutes :D)

It hasn't acted up since.

hard resets usually do the trick.

if you think it's a hardware problem, i strongly recommend NOT TAKING THE UNIT APART YOURSELF. many people think that maybe it's just a loose screw. which in many cases it it. however, PDAs are so friggin small, that it's really easy to accidentally, and unknowingly, destroy something while searching for that darn loose screw. if you don't nkow what's inside your TJ37, and don't want to risk breaking anything, i'd suggest sending it in to Sony. however, if you're short on cash, then you could try and fix it yourself, but i don't recommend it. by brother thought he could tighten the screw in his iPAQ. he ended up packing it in a box with foam peanuts and shipping it off to HP to get it fixed. why? he busted the wires feeding to the screen while twisting the screw too tight; the screwdriver slipped off the screw and stabbed right through the LCD cable.

Try soft resetting the CLIE first while charging. If it doesn't work, try a hard reset. If that doesn't work, contact Sony. If that too doesn't work, fix it yourself.

krhainos: You got lucky! Usually, an impact as great as that makes a hard case useless. It probably was a hardware related problem (keys and LED light), I'm confused how a hard reset can fix everything. Probably boggled the ROM/RAM a bit.
