I just bought a SJ22 and I need to sync outlook to my SJ22. I have a good number of contact in outlook that I need to bring over to my Clie. How do I do this? I don't see any software on the CD that will allow me to do this. Do I need a third party app to do this since Docs to Go isn't included. I just switched from Pocket PC to the Clie so I don't have any older Palm software, etc.

Thanks,

Hi,

I too just switched from Pocket PC to the CLie SJ22 (long story). I also found that the bundled sync software could only sync with Palm Desktop, and not outlook (apart from the Mail sync which can sync with outlook).

This sucks :( Is this normal or is it another SJ22 cost-cutting excercise?

Anyway... I bought desktop to go from www.dataviz.com which allows me to sync with outlook.

I think I will search for my girlfriends Palm 515 install CD and install the Docs to Go and PocketMirror for my Clie (I think this should work). She doesn't use them, but I need them.

According to Sony......the missing software from the SJ22 package is the reason for the different model number and cheaper price. Other than these changes and a slightly improved screen, the unit is identical to the SJ30.

If someone needs Docs to Go, they should just buy an SJ33 (which comes with the software). It ends up being almost the same price as an SJ22 + Docs to Go.

I am sooo lucky I got the SL10 beforehand :) I have the SL10's sync that came with it on my computer, didn't think the one on the SJ22 was any different :) :)

The CD with the Clie's containes Intelasync Lite. I believe that this program allows you to sync with Lotus or Microsoft. The CD is not very straight forward, you have to look a bit. I think it was under the Clie folder.
Hope it helps.
