I have used Image Converter 1.5 for several times now to make MQV-files to play on my Clie's. But there is a problem when I try ro convert AVI (divx, xvid). Most of the time it goes wrong with the AC3Filter. So I try to convert them to WMV9 first using Video Cleaner. It process really takes too long.
Is there a simpler way to directly convert ANY file to MQV...?!?
I tried using Quicktime to try out some settings. Since it seems MQV is made of s streams: MP4V and MP4A. The video stream is made of 320x240 approx 15 fps (MPEG4 Video Elementary). The audio stream is 24000Hz AAC (MPEG2/4 AAC). But the difference with standard Quicktime is, the identifier of the file type is 'mqt '.
when encoding to a standard mpeg4 quicktime movie, i changed the ftyp with a hex editor and tried to play it. It does show up in the Movie Player list, but the playback is not supported. Probably this is due to the audio stream; quicktime doesnt allow the audio encoding to be lower than 32000Hz.
Does anyone have any idea of how to encode files without Image Converter???
