View Full Version : Help! Can't install TG50

Windows XP keeps saying it needs a driver for "Palm Handheld" and it can't find it anywhere. Checked the CD and the Windows\system32\drivers folder.

WTF????????????:confused: :confused: :confused:

uh, did you restart? Also, did you try uninstalling/reinstalling the software?

that's odd, the drivers should be on the disc that came with your CLIE.
try these drivers with the instructions also found on this page:
http://www.palm.com/support/accessories/usb/winxp_USB.html
if they don't work for you, post back and I'll try to find the appropriate ones from my TG50 disc.

the key drivers on the TG50 disc seem to be in the following location (assuming the CD is in drive D):
D:\PC\Palm Desktop for CLIE/Data1.cab

If you already have a device installed on ur machine, the procedure is to uninstall the current palm desktop on ur machnie and then install the new one provided for ur TG. This will install in the driver. But to play safe, might want to do a backup of ur data before u uninstall the previous palm desktop. This will make both ur devices working.

This thing is cool man....but i'm wondering if my excitement is coming from the OS 5.0 factor or the new Clie factor....or both :D Are NX users able to view movies in full screen or even wide-screen?

And of course you need to use the image convertor on ur PC to do the conversion and export it to ur MS:D
