I have recently switched from eudora and palm desktop to Outlook for my T5.
All was going fine until I started having difficulties syncing versamail and now outlook itself.
I have tried removing and re-installing the software to no avail.
The relevant part of the log says:The message host 'MM_MAPIMsgHost' was unable to be loaded. The file may be missing or is corrupt. Re-install the VersaMail conduit to correct this problem.
VersaMail - None of the accounts are configured for HotSync. Use the conduit to configure accounts to HotSync.

Outlook Notes synchronization failedI have checked the VersaMail setup and as far as I can tell I have set up the account for syncing.

I now am also getting a dialog window telling me that a recently installed program may be causing a conflict - it offers to fix it, then says it can't but that restarting will help....it doesn't. Though by itself Outlook seems to be working fine.

Any suggestions?

IIRC, those OLERR errors can be cleared up by setting the sync to handheld overwrites desktop. That doesn't answer your question about Versamail, though. You mentioned that you reinstalled the software - do you mean on the desktop? Have you tried running the repair on Versamail (start>control panel>add/remove programs - locate Palm Versamail, choose it and have it repair)?

Thanks Vidge,

I have both reinstalled all the Palm desktop software and also got the "Add/Remove Programs" to repair VersaMail. Neither helped.

I will have a go at re-setting the sync preferences.

Tried a few things.
However it was resetting the outlook folders that seemed to do the trick.

This involved restarting the PC and before launching Outlook typing into the Start/Run box
outlook /resetfolders
(note the space between 'outlook' and the backslash, but not between the backslash and 'resetfolders')

As a final touch I also had to reset Outlook as my default email provider - though not sure if this was merely a consequence of the "reset folders" or one of the actual contributing problems.
