I have no idea which one to get. I've spent the last weeks playing with the NX and recently playing with the TG.

I love the overall look and feel of the TG. The only downside is the screen. The form factor is the best I've seen on a pda and the speaker is quite good.

The NX is an awesome machine but a little big. Has a great screen though.

I've held and played with both. The TG has bluetooth so I'd have to buy a bluetooth access point. The NX has the optional wi-fi card and I could just hook up to my wireless network.

I just can't get over the size and the beauty of the TG. I think I would probably use it more because it would be with me more of the time. The NX is actually not as bulky as it looked in pictures but definitely not as "pocketable" as the TG.

Anyone have any pro's or con's or suggestions as to which I should buy???

If you think pocketable is most important, buy TG

If you think network connectivity is important, buy NX.

I just went thru this comparison. Do a search for my thread.

I bought the TG50 today :D but I'm having trouble installing it:(

I guess I should have looked before I posted. Sorry about that.

I just got back from Circuit City. I kept going back and forth between the NX70 (I really want the NX60 but all they carry at the store is the NX70) and the TG50.

The wavy lines on the bottom of the screen on the TG50 are horrible. I could probably live with it though.

The screen on the NX is great!

I still don't know what to do. If sony had made the TG with a HR+ screen I would have no problem in my choice.

Jaggrey: did you get your TG50 installed yet? I have XP too and would benefit from anything you could tell me about installation.

yea I got it installed. I'm installing everything onto it now. XP didn't find the driver for me, but i found the driver buried in a cab file on the Sony CD. So far so good! I'll let u know how my 1st day with it goes.

BTW: Best Buy has the NX60 for $449 - $50 mail-in. I would've gotten it if they had it in stock.

Yeah, let me know how your first day with it goes.

I'd buy the NX for $449 with a $50 mail in rebate. I don't see it at their site though. The closest best buy is about an hour and a half away.

What you could do is call them and have customer service look up the price. If you give them the SKU (should be on Best Buy's site) then all you have to do is call and say you want to check the price on something and you have the SKU.

I looked and couldn't find it at their site! I'll give them a call and see if I can locate one. I'm still not sold completely. I love the sleek design of the TG50!

Well here's the 1-day update:

The keyboard WILL take some getting used to, coming from an NR/NX. Not only did the keys feel a little different to press, but it seems like some items have changed positions. Also, in some lighting it's hard to read the orange written on the aluminum.

I've been test driving the Clie Launcher (though I may end up eventually going back to YiShow) and though it seems pretty good, I still don't like how all the card apps show up under "Card" and can't be categorized. Also I'd like to be able to scroll by category as well, maybe by holding the Jog in + scrolling?

The important apps work and work well on the new Clie. Only thing I wish I had were my old Bejeweled high scores.:(

The bulk/weight in my pocket is noticibly smaller than with the NR. Sometimes it's like I even forget it's in my pocket. Very nice :)

Actally, have you checked Sony's actual online site, www.sonystyle.com - they're selling it for $399.99 with free s/h.

I bought an open box nx 70 for $490.00 after returning the TG-50. I was going to head to CompUSA and get the nx-60 for $429.00 but saw the open boxed unit and figured the camera was worth the extra price.

I am happy with the switch so far as the added screen space is a big asset when working with spreadsheets and displaying video.
I also prefer the clamshell design which allows me to type word documents and emails or flip over to tablet mode for pim work. i also like the keyboard better since the keys are a little more spread out although the access within programs still sucks.

I bought the LAN card although they should have skipped the cf slot and built wifi into the unit. Its still better than having only bluetooth which everyone seems to clamor for but I'm not sure what the hell anyone does with it unless you have a bluetooth phone for internet access.

Loosing the extra screen estate from my NR didn't affect me that much...i guess because most of the apps that I used didn't even take advantage of it. I have another 13 days to switch to the NX60 though, but I'm liking the smaller size of the TG. I agree with the Bluetooth comment....I guess I'll use it in the future but for now it's of no use to me.
