...but everytime I use it for more than 2 days, I find out how much squandered potential it has and how it actually makes organizing HARDER, so I go back to the old die-hards.
The first time it was speed. It takes 1-2 seocnds to load. May not seem like much, but when you're in a hurry, that loading time, coupled with time spent saving changes, etc is maddening.
The second time, it was the inability to directly edit appointments from the alarm screen. Clicking "Go to" took me to the day, not the appointment, so I had to click on the appt, load it, change it, save, etc. Ug
The third time, it was the fact that I couldn't just click on a time and write. I had to create a new appointment, open the time dialog and use that terrible two-column thing to make an appt, then save, etc.
And today...? I had 3 appointments within 20 minutes of each other. I had the day view on the "4 lines/hour" setting and, of course, NONE of the appointments was readable. They were all offset left/right like outlook (only Outlook typicall runs on a 1024x768 resolution, so it works).
Good old datebook:
1. Click on a time and write (set it exactly later if you want)
2. Go directly to the appointment to edit it from the alarm screen
3. Loads almost imemdiately
4. New times are created on the left column for closely scheduled appts. brackets let you know when appts overlap.
5. Larger font and it still shows more info.
Geez, Clié botched this up. I want to like it, I really do, but functionality for something as vital as a datebook takes precedence over looks. I can enjoy looking at it but still have no useful information. Shame on you Clie
(Oh, and CO Addressbook? How about the fact that it truncates the LAST name in view, so I get "Thomp..., Steph" for "Thompson, Stephen" in "thumbnail mode" and "Thomps..., Stephe" in list mode. The old Contacts shows it just fine)
