I have been researching linux usage on PDAs in general so far and have been trying to track down info on installing/using linux on the T5. I so far am quite confused by much of the info I have gathered. I seen on the uClinux site a port for ARM7TDMI (I was thinking this has something to do with ARM cpu?). I also see that debian runs on ARM cpu but I can't find any details.

It would appear its possible to do what I'm thinking but I can't find the info on how to go about doing so. Anyone familiar with these subjects? I know sharp makes PDAs (handhelds) with linux on it but they aren't available in the US and therefore I'm unable to take a look at one in a store or something if that even really helps me any. I even read about linux being put on various PDAs that don't come with linux on them but I don't see any info along with that on how people are doing it.

Thanks for any info anyone can supply.

Try to check T3 or LifeDrive versions. Also, try to contact T5 developer.

handhelds.org (http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/PortingToOtherHandhelds) - look for details on corresponding pages.

Wow I thought there would never be any replies to this. I posted it back in april lol. I'll have to check the site out. I don't recall exactly why I wanted to do this other than curiousity and maybe for opensource apps under linux that aren't available for palmOS :)
