Hi,
I am trying to determine which of the Office Suites containing Word, Excel, and Database programs is the best. Can anyone help me out. I basically want to be able to save documents in native format, to view Unicode inside documents ( this one is very important because I use a lot of different alphabets) and to have a Spell Checker.
Also user -friendly interface.
If you can post your choices I would appreciate it.
Thanks a lot :)

Personally I switched from Docs to go (version 7) to Mobile Systems Office Suite.

My view... and I've tried a lot:
Quick Office: a few bugs, no landscape issue (for clie at least), good thing: individual applications. Word, Excel OK, Powerpoint not so good. You need enough RAM to open a file in Card (file is copied to RAM to be worked. When closed, sometimes the file stays in RAM). Good with native files
Docs To Go 7: Good enough, nicer interface. No bugs until now. Good excel, Word and powerpoint. Cons: single application launcher, terrible new search engine to search for files... needs to read the entire card(s) - takes a lot of time - and then displays all files. You have to filter the results. I've lot of pictures/photos, so imagine the waste of time. I'm using it. Version 7 is much more stable.
Mobile Systems Office Suite: if you can afford it, looks the best solution for now. Individual applications and very stable (includes Access). Very clean and powerful.
Hope it helps...

I have quickoffice premiere, and I agree with RuiDuarte, but I have one issue with quickSheet: I have the feeling that it drains the battery toooo much. Just a few minutes of data-imput etc and the juice (on TH55) goes down. Maybe it makes the processor run at full speed all the time, since swithing auto-recalc off didnīt really help...

I've been using Docs to Go 7 on my T5 for the last 2 weeks. A huge difference from DTG 4 that I used on my Vx and appears to work well with both native and desktop created and converted spread sheets but it falls down badly on the very basics that used to work in older DTG versions
Try entering a formula as simple as C1=A1+B1 on a new/blank sheet and it will tell you a circular reference has been created. Have also noticed a few other glitches when adding and deleting rows where it seems to duplicate formulas.

I don't use DocsToGo (version 7) all that often (just for real simple stuff, usually Excel sheets created at work), but I don't get what you're saying here. I entered some integers in A1 and B1, and then typed in the formula "=A1+B1" (without quotes) in cell C1 and it worked. So I guess I'm missing something. (Again, I'm not a spreadsheet wizard by any stretch of the imagination.)

This is something I had only just noticed - like you most spread sheets are created on the desktop.
I can now see it depends on how the formula is entered. If you type in the whole formula DTG can work with it. IF you type or enter the graffiti for "=", tap on the cell, say, A1, type "+" and the tap on cell B1; this is when DTG reports a problem. The formula is the same the only difference is the mode of entry. At least now I know I can work round this but the above used to work on DTG 4 and I had become accustomed to enter formulae in this manner.

I donīt want to be nagging, but I would like to know if anyone else has noticed that Quicksheet (or other spread sheet apps?!) suck the juice out of your batteries?

Yes, I agree with you CroCo, I tried QuickSheet and it did drain by battery rather quickly. No I am trying Doc To Go :)

Doc To Go has been an unstable application, for me, since v3. The v7 that was bundled with the T5 is even more unstable, and I essentially proven it was the cause of severe handheld crashes leading to 4 hard resets (with re-install of all my applications to prevent an immediate re-occurance of hard reset). I removed Docs To Go and my T5 has been stable for over 3 days.
I am glad I got rid of DTG. I have swithed to Mobile Systems and so far I am happy.

I like the user interface and the ability to use True Tyoe Fonts offered by Mobile Systems. Also, apart from Word and Excel they have a powerful Database application which I already have and use. I will stick to them although I would like to see some improvements. Otherwise nice!!!

'ello there ^_^/. I am curious here, is it just me or does DocsToGo 7 slows down your PDA. I was doing all good on my TH untill I installed upgraded demo for 7.0 and it just SLOOWS my TH down. When I exit the app and return to Zlauncher, I noticed how the Tab Icon doesn't show up until 2 sec later  . I just removed it and keeping 6.0 that came with it, much faster than 7.0....though I'll miss how 7.0 looks like :(.
