I need some software, and I spent all my money on NX related things. SO here is a place to post your favorite freeware that is compatible on your nx.
I'll start.
ICQ- Free ICQ palm os agent
upIRC- Connect to IRC servers
PalmReader- Download free ebooks at memoware.com
How about yours. And tell what they do!

Cryptopad -- a memopad replacement that uses blowfish (very good encryption) to encrypt your sensative notes (cc numbers, kids socials, passwords, etc). It's avaliable at Palmgear. If a palm won't run it, I won't buy that palm...that's how cool it is :)

BibleReader
Filez
Graffiti Anywhere, no more need for the Graffiti area
Wondersilk
OKey, adds hard buttons to status bar, has a stick keys function for keyboard and a jog-dial assist
Pocket City, open source version of Sim City
Space Trader
Space Wars

I saw both of those on Palmgear. But when you download them it is just a hyperlink to an error page.

You have to log in to download when you click on the zip file. I just download both apps. I don't know how you are trying to download. I was surprised that I even had to log in, but I am a registered user there.

palmgear is wierd now. I think they just changed it so you have to log in before you can download (like handango). kind of annoying.

Hmmm.. I logged in, and I still get that. I guess I will try again, but I did log in
Badandy
03-24-2003, 09:24 PM
hmm. still cant download it correctly. o well, I'll try from handango

Try it now. It looks like PalmGear just changed their website, because I just downloaded the update to HandyShopper a few hours ago, but now when you go to download, you have to log-in to MyPalmGear. I've never had it ask me to log in to download before.

Guess I was slow posting. At least I'm not crazy and not the only one to notice the change.

This is something fairly new, it's called my Palmgear. Some software upgrade are only obtainable by registering. Did you register and sign up, it's free? I don't necessarily care for it, but it's a requirement now for some stuff.

My PalmGear isn't new. The new part is making you use it to download. It also is now causing a security alert on some systems.

I was getting an error about an expired certificate, but it looks like they might have fixed that.

Here's the thing:
I downloaded Eudora for the Palm OS becuase it was free.
I wasn't sure if you needed a desktop application, such as Outlook Express
Since my question probably doesn't make much sense, I assume that you do need a desktop Application.
I guess my new question would be, What is Eudora?

The above Inginious was because i was writing to the Wrong Forum, See what happens when you have a huge screen with many open windows!
Anyways,
Freepalmware.com is a great site for free free stuff, however, as i was reading at another forum, they have this spy ware that snoops around your computer and sends out your info.
I guess its fine if you use a public computer.
My Fav Apps are:
Blocks 4.0 .... oops thats a hacked one =)
Mulg

I believe all the ones I mentioned are all available at Palmgear. Showtimes is available there also, but a little more complicated, since the developer has quit supporting it. To get all of it's features to function fully requires a little digging. Just go to the developers web site jrray.org and follow the links to bug reports/support.
A couple of games:
Memorix
Sea War
Patience
Also available on Palmgear.

Here's the link that get you to or near: CryptoPad (http://www.palmgear.com/software/answernew.cfm?quicksearch2=cryptopad).
... to HandyShopper (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=1350)
... to Vexed (http://www.palmgear.com/software/answernew.cfm?&quicksearch2=vexed)
... to SysTool (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=43684)
... to FileZ (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=9992)
and Khroma (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?prodID=12575)...
All were found quite simply... but I make no guarantees of the ease of download from the now logged-down PalmGear.
