View Full Version : Problems with Image Converter

I am trying to convert a movie with image converter. I also have a UX50, but I don't think that this matters since the problem I am having is with the conversion. I had upgraded to IC 2.1, but had not converted anything. I tried today, and it looked like it was working for approximately 2 minutes of the movie and then it would get an error message stating "can not translate movies."

Does anyone have any insight into what is happening? I even tried reinstalling IC 1.5 to see if it was something wrong with the newer version. It seems like something a trial copy would do. It is probably something simple, so be kind.

Also when I was able to convert in the past, IC would chop the movie into sections after reaching the 2 hour point. Is there a way to get around the movie being chopped. So is there a way to have IC output a file that is over two hours in length.

Thank you for reading this and for any help that you can provide.

Maybe it was a codec problem? Were the frames displayed for the two minutes while he converted the movie before the error message came? Have you tried converting different movie files? Which format was the movie file you tried to convert?

I'm using IC2.1 too, no problem so far. 1.1 and 1.5 were quite picky and refused to convert most of the movie formats I tried.

I don't think there is a way to work around the splitting after 2 hours, at least not with IC. At least I found nothing so far.

I was missing a codec. Thank you for your responses.

Can you point me towards the latest codecs that I should have for successful conversion? The frames were displayed for the two minutes that seemed to be converting. I have tried to go back and convert some of the files that I had previously converted and I am having the same result. The files were created using FairUse Wizard.
