I really like my TG50, and I like I can remove the hard flip cover. Now, what I'm surprised about is the fact that Sony hasn't taken advantage of this fact like they have on the SJ33. I would love to see a hard flip cover with a clear acrylic (light and durable) lense so I could see the screen and check things. What I'd like to know is if anyone else would be interested in such a flip cover, or a different choice in flip covers? I have a few suggestions that I think would be cool, and I would like to see. As for prices, I think the $20 to $25 range would be reasonable for each cover.
* - Brushed (same texture as the default cover) Black Aluminum insert with silver plastic (like it currently is) frame.
* - Brushed Silver Aluminum with Clear Acrylic Window and silver frame.
* - Solid Aluminum cover (not an insert like it is), Silver in color.
* - Gunmetal Gray (Cobalt) Magnesium Cover (think about the special NX model) with black plastic frame.

And the point of that kind of case mod that exposes the keyboard is, what? So you don't have a big flip case open?

I might be able to see the point if it was a clear flip cover...
That mod makes no sense.

Well, big_raji some things we do make no sense to the Japanese so I guess it must be some sort of mutual exchange? I do like my idea of a clear lense to see the screen, and I hope either Sony or a third party come out with one. As long as it doesn't look cheep or cheesy I'd buy one. I like the ability on the SJ33 of being able to view your data on the device without having to open the screen.

Ah, there. That one makes a little more sense.

A step in the right direction, but still not quite what I mean. What I want is a cover that protects the keyboard (like the default/standard one does) and also offers a clear, maybe slightly tinted Window so I can see and read the screen. It's an annoyance to constantly have to open the flip cover just to read the screen. It's not that hard to take the cover off, so why aren't there first or third party replacements?

Oh dear! Poor TG50...
I would like to see a aluminum and transparent cover.

I guess they are trying to make the keyboard more accessable, so that they can send SMS
