hi all,

I was cleaning up some files on my UX this weekend and must have inadvertantly deleted the file that Docs2go uses to read to native excel documents. When I go to open a native excel doc, I get error "The required translator is missing from the handheld. Please reinstall the handheld applicaition from docs 2 go on the desktop."

I'm at work, so I was hoping that i could restore it from a backup.

Does anyone know what that file is called?

Thanks in advance.

DaVinci

I have Docs2Go installed. It's SheetToGo.prc the file you are talking about?

Nope. I still have sheet to go, must be another file. I can open word to go docs, but not native.

Thanks for trying though!

SS_P2P.prc.

You're able to open native Word docs because you still have WP_P2P.prc.

Why not just restore all DTG program files?

That's got it. Thank God for Backupman.

Don't know how I would have deleted that file. Must learn to be more careful.

Thank guys, nothing worse than being stuck without excel.

Cheers,

DaVinci

He isn't near his computer to do a hotsyncDidn't assume he was! He mentioned "restore from backup" which I assumed he meant using a restore app to restore from his MS. Hind sight now indicates I assumed correctly. ;)

Well you assumed correctly, but I'm not sure it would've helped. Restoring from a back up with individual files would have still required me to know the name of the file. (I suppose I could have used filez to sort by creator ID and deduced which files belonged to docs2go...)

Don't mean to be conciliatory, just pointing out that the name of the file was required to get me out of it.

Thanks again for your help guys.
