Hey all,
I have a NX70V, and I am looking for some wireless software. I just got a sony CF WiFi card, and I need a good web browser, and I need a piece of software to access my music and videos over my wireless network. I have the know-how to set it up, I just don't know where to look for software.
Thanks
Kyle-

You can find everything you want to know by searching these forums. Search.

Netfront(browser)
SMBMate or WiFile(for accessing network shares)
MMPlayer might play streaming music or videos. Although, not much use since you have limited battery power.

How do you use SMBMate? I downloaded, but it doesn't have directions.

It's really not too difficult. You just enter the IP of the PC and the share you want to access. Pretty much it.

OK. Under name would I put the name of my PC or the PDA user name? Do I change the resource path or leave it at the prefilled information. When I use my name or the name of PC, I get back a message that states "Invalid requested network name or UNC path. If I try to inspect server, it states "Access denied." I was hoping that this would be a replacement for Win-hand which now charges and that I'd be able to edit and change any documents w/o duplicating everything on my PDA and taking up valuable space.

First you have to have a share on your PC you are trying to connect to. Second, you are putting in the PC name, not the name of your Clie.
Third, you don't leave the resource name the same. That is the name of the share you want to access on your PC.

I’m sorry that I’m so new that this is unclear. Please bear with me. Resource path: do I enter the shared path after *SMBSEVER or do I delete *SMBSEVER. For example would it be \\*SMBSEVER\\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Pictures?

No, SMBSERVER is the name of the server(i.e. the PC you are wanting to access. OK, to be more clear:
Name: Whatever you want to put there(it just identifies the PC you are wanting to connect to).
Resource Path: The full UNC path to the share you want to access(\\SERVERNAME\ShareName\) Say I share a folder on my PC called "Files". My PC is named "Laptop". If I want to access this share from SMBMate, you would enter \\Laptop\Files\ in Resource path.
Resource Type: Disk
IP Address: The IP of the PC you want to connect to.
I seriously doubt that you even have a share setup on your PC. The name "Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Pictures" would most likely not be used and probably couldn't be used. When you setup a shared folder on your PC, you will give it a name that you choose. When you need help with that, come back and I'll walk you through that as well.
