View Full Version : Cropping region in FairUse to avoid black space (FairUse -> Image Converter)

(I'm pretty sure this hasn't already been answered before...)

Has anyone had any luck setting a cropping region and resolution in FairUse so that there isn't any wasted black space in the movie when it comes out of Image Converter?

What's happening now is that I can't get FairUse to output a movie that's in the same aspect ratio as 320x240. So when I use Image Converter, already it has to add black space at the top and bottom (the black space already shows up when I preview it in Image Converter, so I'm not talking about the normal amount of black border that you always get when watching 320x240 movies with Full Movie Player... I already know 480x320 movies would avoid that, but that's not what I'm talking about).

I think if I set a cropping region in FairUse that's in the same aspect ratio scale as 320/240, it should result in a movie that has no black space after it comes out of Image Converter. Right? Somehow I haven't managed to make that happen yet.

Any tips on what cropping region and resolution to use in FairUse to use as much of the Clie screen as possible for 320x240 movies?
