PDA (Sony Clie PEG-SJ20) Security software

I am looking for a program to protect (and encrypt) sensitive info like credit card numbers.

My desires for the program are:
-- Palm OS 4.1 (and Windows XP) compatible
-- desktop component with good synchronization in both directions
-- reliable security on both platforms
-- low PDA memory consumption
-- stable and reasonably bug-free
-- reasonably fast at encryption and decryption of records
-- color should not be required for full functionality on the PDA

What I don’t particularly need or want are elaborate organizing and categorizing capabilities especially because they are likely to consume precious RAM. Please in responding to my post, do not forget this consideration. I have seen some of the fancy security programs (some of which don’t even state the amount of RAM they consume) – and I personally hate it if they’re too fancy; software bloat is a much bigger threat on a PDA than even on a desktop. I want reliability and security – “lean and mean”.

I used to use keyring but not having a desktop counterpart became too much of a hassle. I now use SafeDeposit, but have recently encountered annoying problems with it. Some entries are truncated on the PDA, and the software is just plain buggy -- notes intended for one entry will inexplicably appear in others to name one example (not to mention the admitted unpredictability of the synchronization process if entries are changed on both the PDA and desktop). And it’s slow.

I wouldn’t mind paying for it and am considering TopSecret. I like the fact that the program eats not much RAM on the PDA, and seems at first glance to meet all my criteria.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

(A general question about programs that encrypt in case any one cares to comment – where does the program hide the password? Would it not be fairly easy for someone with basic programming skills to just look at the program and spot the password?)

I have been using it since my days of HandERA 330 and it has always been working 100% without a glitch. Have it on my WinXP Pro SP2 PC and on my current PDA Sony TH-55. Best program of that catagory. Great customer service as well! ;)

Encryption is not my area of expertise, but Blowfish is, according to what little I have read on the subject, a state-of-the-art encryption method. The desktop component is great. You can password protect both the PDA and desktop applications. At around 324k of RAM, it is an excellent choice, and I believe you can "try before you buy!" ;)
