I've been a happy Tungsten T user for 3 years and just bought a T5. Read all the manuals and stuff but must be missing the part about how to get all of my data (Memos, Address Book, etc) from my T to the T5 via HotSync. Can anyone help re how to do this? Thanks! Tim

No problem.
If all of your info is in palm desktop, create backups of memos, calendar, tasks, notes, and save them somewhere other than the palm folder. If you are using Outlook, then you will not have to do this step.
Uninstall the old PalmDesktop.
Take the folder that has your username and move it to another place on your computer, the desktop is a good place.
Install the new Palm Desktop
Create the user name for your T5 and sync
I would suggest checking for the latest versions of any extra programs that you may be using. You can also check the sticky at the top of this Tungsten forum for a list of programs that do work fine with the t5 if you are not sure. It is pretty accurate.

Hopefully that helps for you. Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to 1src.

After having gone through the same thing two weeks ago (T2 -> T5) with quite a number of applications, I would like to underline Antoine's point that it makes a lot of sense to re-download all your applications if there is a newer version out than the one you had on your T.

Also, installing the applications one by one gives you another way of controlling which one causes trouble.

Cheers!

I just moved from a Clie NX73 to a T5 - I would suggest that you take those applications that you think may be suspect and install them first and see if they work - if you have problems you can start over without too much difficulty - I did that as well as checking for the current versions of software and I haven't had any problems.
