I've been looking for that accessory that lets us use a couple AA batteries to extend the TH55's battery life a bit but cannot find it anywhere.
Anyone knows the code or exact product name? I think Sony at one time had it in the SonyStyle website.
Any hints? Thanks in advance!

Is this what you're looking for:

I ordered one of these and received it today. Have not yet had a chance to test it, but it was extremely inexpensive and just what I was looking for.

i've got one of those puppies. it works wonders when you're on the road. the site says that 4 AA batteries can give you around 5 full charge cycles, but in reality it gave me 2 at the most. still, it's really good for on-the-road charging or simply as a battery extender. it worked well for my TJ37's crappy battery, but i easily went through 4 batteries a day with it, as i rely HEAVILY on wifi on campus.

Looks like it. It does not seem to be the Sony model but if it works fine I'll be a happy camper.
Thanks very much! :)
The TH55 battery life is great but running the Wi-Fi can drain the battery low quite fast.

ever had a TJ37 before your TH55? that battery drains even faster than you could imagine. 15-20 minutes of wifi drained my battery from 80-90% all the way down to 20%.

the extender is a really handy accessory for when you'll be far away from an electricaly socket for an extra long time. it's saved me many times before.

Also, a USB sync/charge cable and a car charger adapter can be quite handy... :)

Try using rechargeable batteries in it. I have 2200mah in mine and they last a long time. I used mine to watch video flying from NY to Florida and back, and a whole week of playing games and never had to recharge.

Good info, thanks looney,
I have the Sony PEGA-BC10, from my old NX days. I've always used alkaline so far...

Wow, I think that I am going to have to order me one, I often travel on business trips and end up having to wait until the end of the day at the hotel before I have the opportunity to charge the thing. This will definatley help me save some juice. Thanks for the tip.
