UX50 3D launcher on VZ90

hi Folks!
I got the 3D Launcher working on the VZ90. But there is still the problem with the VG area. When I have been in an Hires app, the 3D Launcher stays in hires, too. I cannot collapse the VG area.
When I go to a hires+ app and exit, I have a 3D Launcher in widescreen.
How can I get the VG collapse button to work? I tried to unhide the Eslauncher.prc and the UI.prc I can see them in the Launcher, but I cannot see this ones in Codediver..

Did you try to force fullscreen with codediver?

i unchecked unhidden and so on.. i just left "ResourceDB", because I will get a fatal error when I do this

Maybe code diver sees it as "Applications." Sometimes the launcher is called that.

It doesn't work on a NX73. I reset the device after successfully installing the files by card and it gives me a library error. It won't let me boot it. Probably a Sony Handheld Engine thing... oh well!!

perhaps you forgot to install some files?
ESLauncher.prc and UI.prc are a bit tricky

Same here, SonyStyle. I've tried it with my NX73 and my sister's TJ27. No luck yet!! All the files were installed, its just that I get a sharedlibrary failed to load error on mine and a fatal error on my sister's.

I really love the 3D Launcher on VZ90 but it has a too bright skin. Live every VZ90 user I take care of the OLED screen :). Is there a way to skin it? a Black-blue theme for VZ90 would be cool

Hmm. Exactly how are you going about it? Was really easy and simple for me. I didn't do anything special or fancy. I just moved all the files over to my MS (DON'T try and HotSync them over!), then copied them all to my RAM, then soft reset. That's it. Then, in the standard Palm OS5 launcher, go to the top pull-down menu and you should see "Clie 3D launcher".

yay, looks exactly like the ux50I know what I missed. I had tried it before and it hadnt worked, but that try I did not have all of the needed files. I think I am keeping this one on. Not only does the launcher work in portrait and landscape, but it makes the basic launcher work in both orientations too.

I have since deleted all the 3D Launcher files (at c. 500K...I needed to use that extra room frankly), as I never even used that launcher when I had a UX50. ;) This was more of a novelty and "Proof of Concept" kinda thing for me. ;)

I was always frustrated that the basic, built-in launcher didn't work with the Landscape app. This is welcome news...but I use & LOVE Appshelf so...I'm gonna stick with that.

Nice to see it is working now on TH55s. But why can you collapse the VG area? ON my photos, the button for collapsing the VG is grey, so I cannot change. So can someone change the 3D Launcher for me, that I can see it in Codediver or I can use the VG button?

This only happens to me in Portrait mode. When landscaped it looks identical to the UX.

I have tried copying all the files using McFile onto my NX73 and it always gives me a Library failure when I reset. It's trying to load a Sharedlibrary which isn't there. Any idea of what this file is?

Make sure you have installed all of the files. There are alot of them. I have it working on my TH-55 just fine.

I have installed all the files on my NX73. They all install succesfully, except when I do a reset I get a Library error. Its trying to load a system library which doesn't exist. I've repeatedly tried to reinstall all the files without success. They're only 12, right?

- make a backup.
- install all files of the 3D Launcher into the backup folder (/Palm/PROGRAMS/MSBACKUP/*)
- run the backup contains the 3D Launcher data
- should work now

I have seen a report that showed MakeClie getting 3d launcher running on a Tungsten C. Can anyone reupload the files so that I can test?

How do you get this to work?! ive installed all the files into my MS using data export. And then i tried tranfering them to my handheld using clie files, but it gives me some wierd messege saying my handheld is full. And then i used zlauncher to move the files instead, then it still doesnt work. Any idea how to do this??

MarkIV, there are still some "waste" files of the 3D Launcher files, because you tried to hotsync it. MSBackup usually overwrites all files, but I dont think so at the 3D Launcher. As a last instance, make a hardreset and put the backup with the 3D Lauincher Files on the clean Clie.

Idea: install "MakeClie" of Tam Hanna on your Clie. Perhaps this program simulates a Clie with the HHE.
