Does anyone know exactly what files to delete so I can reinstall it and not have to do a hard reset everytime I try to use AIM? I read somewhere to delete its preference files but I'm not sure what to delete. Any help would be appreciated. I get a fatal error whenever its installed and I try to use it. Thanks.

Delete anything with a creator ID as AOLA.

ZLauncher, McFile, Filez, or Systool. The later two are freeware and can be found on Palmgear.

Additionally, there was a need to disconnect before exiting AIM or you'll get the fatal error.

use an app like systool or leftovers to deleted saved and unsaved preferences related to AIM. search the forums and you can find a link to the creator id database.

Is there an issue with AIM on Clies? I'm using it on my NZ. It doesn't crash on me, but it doesn't load buddy lists, or even save buddy lists, something that is quite annoying.

And AOL wants $20 for this software? Good thing I downloaded it for free from the UK site.

It imported my buddy lists, haven't tried to save any on the Clie.

It loads up my buddy list, depending on which screen name is used.

I am using AIM v1.1, freeware on Palmgear.
