Nope, not going to rant about the benefits of having the CF slot work to read images... (Though that would be nice)

I wanted to find out if anyone has both a NX and a G2 configured on the same machine and has no problems... I haven't used my G2 in a while, and when I tried to connect it this weekend, my desktop recognizes it but cannot communicate with it. I've tried it on a laptop with no problems. It worked flawlessly on my desktop before, so I'm not sure what happened. However, I haven't tried uploading pictures after I installed the Clie support files.

Not sure if the Clie software is causing this, so I wanted to post this to the group to see if anyone has a similar setup without problems - or with them...

Thanks,
Tom

Are you working on a Mac or Winbox? I have a G2 and clie on my mac, however I've had difficulties getting the clie to sync recently.

Wintel running Windows 2000 actually. Sorry I didn't post that in the original message.

But hearing that you are having some problems on the Mac might mean that there is some type of conflict between the two.

Thanks,
Tom

I downloaded the latest canon imagebrowser software which allowed me to use my g2 again. I have also been using the mount memory stick option to transfer files to my nx70 which also works. Kind of a sdrawkcab way of doing things...

I also have the clie software and canon software installed and working on a dell winlaptop.

Hmm, then I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here since it seems you have them both working... Thanks for your help. I guess its back to the drawing board for me.

I have an S100 not the G2 but would say this: I originally used the canon browser software but now am using a card reader to get images into my pc. This has worked much better.

Use your favorite photo software and keep your camera Software off your PC and you will be fine. The CF card readers can be found for less than $20.00 now.

CF Card readers work well too. I've used one with the g2 in the past...
