Have you modified your PDA or Acc'y?

In response to Jeff Kirvin's 1src podcast about modifying the case for his T5 I thought it would be really cool to find out what mod's people have done to improve the look or function of their PDA's. I thought I would start the topic with my own mods, please chime in with your own stories.

While I havent modified my Palm other than finish removing the peeling paint, I have modifed my Hardcase to protect the camera and open the speaker/mic aea: http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64184

Most recently I built a cradle for my Zire 72 because there isn't one available commercially: http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81399

So what do you all think? Do you think the Star Trek influence is subtle enough?

Skaah, That sounds cool, did you use spray paint? What did you use to mask the screen and keep the buttons from getting stuck with paint?

Well...after reading this, I thought my palm looked a little bland lol. So, I took a red sharpie to it. I can't take a pic cause my webcam get good lighting. But, it's awesome. And, it seems to be pretty permanent. Go Sharpies!!!

Actually, I dont think the Sharpie will last that long. I took a Silver one and went over the plastic gray lining of the Tungsten|E and it eventually came off. But maybe that was plastic? Did you use it on metal or plastic? BTW, I love the blue on that Clie, very nice

I replaced the 900 battery in my T3 with the 1200 battery that was for sale over at Brighthand. (better life, makes the unit a little heavier which I like, and makes the slider nice and stiff). The only thing I'd really like to do is replace the screen with a better one but I'm not too sure if the hardware needs to be specific due to OS concerns.

I agree with T-Man about the sharpie probably not lasting long. Also Drunken Macleod's Blue Clie looks sweet.

Has anyone tried the Vinyl Skin Stickers that are custom made for specific PDA's? I can't seem to remember who makes them but when they first came out I thought they had alot of potential.

Thanks Strider_mt2k, Yeah Velo makes great skins. I would like to try to make my own skins someday, I hope to make a few including DS9, Robotech, Star Wars, Chronicles of Narnia and Christmas Themes. My plan is to start with AeroPlayer's skin maker and go from there, but I need to know what I'm doing first.
