Brand new Zire72s won't even turn on!

My girlfriend finally decided she needed a PDA and ordered a Zire72s off the PalmOne website. It arrived yesterday when she was at work so I opened it up and charged it for her so she could use it when she got home. After 3-4 hours of charging the thing won't even turn on. I tried all the resets, tried pushing all the buttons, even tried inserting an SD card. It never woke up. I charged it overnight and it still is dead.

Has anyone dealt with exchanges from Palm? All I can find on the website deals with returns. Nothing about exchanging. I couldn't get through on the phone. After a while on hold I just got cut off.

You should be able to call the palmOne support center and have them send out a replacement unit. The you pop the dead unit in the box and send 'er back home. You should be able to get the ball rolling from the following palmOne website page:

does the green light turn on when its on the chrger? If it does not it might just be a dead battery. also try hard reseting it.
