My ux-50 battery life sucks!

I'd read about this problem before.

About how long should a full charged ux-50 last with brightness at full?
1. with WiFi on and surfing the net
2. playing a full screen movie
3 everyday task

My battery life sucks... I think a have a defective battery, because the battery would drain to 10% after about 15-20 surfing with the WiFi.

I have ordered a battery from e-bay, are there any other sites to get replacement batteries?

1. with wifi, i think 20 minutes, i get very short battery life with wifi, u can see the battery meter constantly decreasing

2. movies i say 2 hours

3. everyday task, 5 hours

Your problem won't be solved with a new battery. You need the EB40 extended battery for the UX series. It is available from Sony Direct Parts Access (there are a couple of thread on it elsewhere). Cost is about $185 plus shipping. Wait time varies, I had to wait about 3 weeks for mine. You can also get them on eBay occassionally, the price varies, as does the age of it. With an EB40, you should see your online time increase by about 3 times.
