I just bought a 512MB MS Pro from SonyStyle today, but when I start MS Import, it said "Memory Stick Not Found"

Any ideas? Slinger, how did you make it to work??

Thanks

I've tried formatting it with the built-in "Card Info" app and "CLIE Files," and I've tried to format it with "McFile" with no luck...

I've also tried to run "Transfer" option under "Audio Player" with "No Memory Stick" status...

Help... Really want to cry now...

I think maybe the MS Pro is faulty ask Sonystyle to let you test it on F717 digital camera. If it is working in that camera, sony will need to provide a patch for it. If not, they had to exchange a good one for you. BTW, are you using NZ or NX or TG? if not, it is normal. As other models can't be use it.

I'm using it on my NZ. Apparently, NZ owners should experience the same thing as the NX owners, so I will... I will... I will patiently wait for Sony TO RELEASE THE FRICKIN GOD DAMN PATCH FOR IT!!!!! so that I can use it as soon as possible.

It seems like next month is really CLIE month because (rumors said that) the MSPro patch, Power48 OS5 version and CF drivers will be release by then.

I think he was refering to Power48 Emulator for the HP 48G/X/GX series graphical calculators. Palm os5 version will be released soon. Read the review here: http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/2003Feb/bpd20030221018735.htm

It's a pretty good application if you use graphing calculators a lot. I remember when I was taking the SAT exam in high school I brought one of those... I paid over $110 for the HP 48G in 1997.

Wow, Now I brought a NZ90 for $700 and it can load this HP48X for FREE! what a deal!

It would've been a dream in 1997...

aaronchow,

I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't try using the MSImport utility or the transfer option from the audio player in my initial testing. I tried those functions specifically and you're right - they don't work. They both display the message "No Memory Stick Detected".

Bummer...

I seem to remember that someone with an NX had managed to use MSImport with their MSPro stick, but media clips wouldn't work off of it. Kind of strange seeing as it is the opposite for the NZ.

I can't get my 64MB memory stick PRO to work with my NZ90 either. It kept on asking me to install a driver for the memory stick (the driver which I don't have). I can't believed that Sony release the memory stick Pro without testing it on the Clies!.

The PRO MS were not specifically designed for the CLIEs. They are designed for Large Storage. Sony never said... the PRO Sticks will just be plug-n-play into a CLIE. Sony has said all along they will produce, and provide new DRIVERS for the Pro Sticks to work in the Clies.

Is there an 64MS pro? In Singapore i never see it.

ICEman maybe right about the MS Pro as i ask the Sony support in my country and they say MS Pro do support ATRAC3 as stated in their website but ...but... not in Clie....i really can't accept it. What kind of Sony support is that???? It is no longer universal stuff anymore.

Currently, the solution I have is to use is HotSync to Memory Card via USB. Slower but works fine. Then use McFile to create and refile where you want them.

yeah it is the only way for now. Sony should release the patch as soon as the MS Pro launch.
