are there any good map programs for palm os free or ones i have to pay for? thanks.

Most programs are for the Pocket PC, but Mapopolis makes an excellent one for the Palm. Go to

www.mapopolis.com.

The program is free, and then you buy the maps you want. You can get them by county or by state. They include street-level addresses of the whole country, and you can get maps that will allow the program to plot a route to take you from point to point. You can even use a GPS to track your location as you drive.

I will soon get a gps for my clié NR70 and i found few programs to be nice and accurate. I have come up with two main map programs :
TomTom CityMpas for navigating in cities and TomTom Route Planner for Highway navigating.
The other program is MapViewer (and that's the one i think i will choose) it is compatible with most GPS systems
