The Sony website is offering an NR-70V for $390 (refurbished.) I'd be upgrading from a T615C...how good a deal is this? Will I use the camera at all?
thanks!

The camera and the MP3 player and the keyboard are the least used features of my NR70V. I still love it though. Of those three, I probably use the camera the most. I don't use the MP3 player because the music takes up so much of my MS and I haven't devised a convenient way to carry the headphones and remote with me. I also have a separate MP3 player that I use and save my Clie battery for more important things like playing Bejeweled. The keyboard is always covered up because I use my Clie mostly in tablet mode and I am quite happy with grafitti for the little text input I do. Unlike some, I just don't see the Clie as a suitable solution for writing the great novel.
By the way, I bought my NR70V as a refurbished and couldn't be happier with it. If you check around, you may find a better price than the one on the Sony site.

Thanks...I appreciate the help. What do you use the camera for? I too have an MP3 player that I use at the gym...not going to be taking my Clie there!
Bejeweled is a must; I'm a medical student and have nothing better to do in class!

You can get better deals on ebay for the same "new" Sony-refurbished NR70Vs (the cameraless NR70 is less yet). Just check the feedback on the seller to make sure that all previous buyers are satisfied with the seller.
For more on the NR70, see my review in the Review section of ClieSource.

I use my camera all of the time, just becase I always see stuff I want to remember, or things happening, or people I want to remember. So far I've taken over 700 pictures with my NR and NX. Of course, I'm kind of easily amused, and I'll always take a picture of a beautiful sunset, or really awesome looking waterfall. I use the camera while I'm out with friends to capture the event. If you look in my gallery in the galleries section of Cliesource you will see a bunch of fighting pictures I took with my NR. Recently my step-father needed to sell his Cadi and I took pictures for the online listing with my Clie. When I'm sitting here at the computer I'll often have friends ask me technical questions about computers, car audio, home theater... stuff like that. I can grab my Clie, snap some example pictures, and use MSImport to send them in less than 10 seconds.
For me the camera has been a toy and a tool. Of course your uses may be different, or you may have no use at all. Just remember that the camera in the NR is best for making pictures that you are going to view on the Clie and on the web and e-mail. I did print one out on 4x6 photo paper and it turned out pretty nice (a picture of me and my sister, now framed for my mother), it looks fine at a distance but it isn't going to impress anyone. The thing that makes the NR camera so great is not the quality but the fact that you can have it with you all of the time, without putting forth any extra effort. Anywhere you take your Clie, you have a small digital camera.
Good luck in making your decision. :D
