1. Greetings.
2. I am not able to hot sync under quick install.
3. Hot sync for all others, e.g. contacts, memo, etc no problem.
4. Can someone please help me with this problem?
5. I have a keyboard but is unable to install.
6. When I double click the set up, it goes straight into the quickinstall. Is this correct?
7. If it is, my problem is that it cannot hotsync with my pda.
8. Your help is much appreciated.

Very strange problem. Try copying the application into the "install" sub-file located (usually) in "c:/programs/palm/[USERID]" or "c:/palm/[USERID]".

This is a workaround the QuickInstall program. Once you paste the application into the "install" sub-file, run a hotsync and the application should be loaded onto your Palm.

As I say, this is a workaround only. There is obviously something wrong with your QuickInstall. I would suggest hotsync'ing your Palm, then copying the entire [USERID] sub-file into another folder for safe-keeping. Then proceed to uninstall and then reinstall the entire Palm Desktop application from the disk which came with the T5. This should not cause you to lose any data as your Palm already has your backup and, in any event, you have saved the [USERID] sub-file in case of a disaster.

Let us know if this worked.

Elena, have you tried a hard reset?

Do you have your cradle connected to the PC thru a USB hub?

I'm wondering if you also need to uninstall the Palm apps from your PC, and reinstall them.

If you are still within the "90 day tech. support" timeframe, it might be worth a call to PalmOne first.

Thanks for replies. I discovered something too which I wonder if you know what may be causing the problem. I check the log and it says 'quickinstall ok' but actually it is not being installed. Has it got to do with any configuration? Thanks. I am a newbie and what you recommend for me to do like a workaround method, is over me. I will need a step by step guide to do it. Thanks. As for hard reset, I think it means putting a pin into the back of the pda. I did that but it did not help. Thanks.
