I've never heard of this, but found this website: http://www.win-hand.com/index.htm

I haven't downloaded this, curious if anyone knows about this program?? They claim you can run windows on your Palm.

Honestly, I am not sure if this is real... for some reason I have a bad feeling that this can be some kind of spyware or virus if I download it... maybe I am just paranoid!

what's the deal w/ this software??? is it real?

This was discussed pretty throughly in the ux forum not too long ago. Here is one link. If you do a search you will find a bunch of others

For those too lazy to click the link. WinHand isnt windows, it allows you to control a windows desktop remotely, though it seems that the latest version implements a trial scheme, so I am no longer recommending it.

I hope I'm not going over the edge by posting this as I didn't really want to read
anymore threads tonight but I don't want to forget this curiousity question. Why would you want to have remote control of your windows desktop from your palm?

Because it can control your computer if you are halfway across the globe. You dont need to control your computer in your house, usually, but as I said, thats not its main purpose.

Well, I prefer VNC for this task. This protocol is opensource and everything, and both client and server can be downloaded for free!
Another advantage-with VNC, you can also control Unix and other kinds of boxen.
