Hello all;
Has anyone figured out how to automatically have SMS message sent from your phone to your T5? I am trying to do that, but there seems not to be any preference or item to make that happen. Even as a test, I sent one from my T5 to myself and I did not even get the new SMS message when I did a check. ANy one have suggestions?

Er I am not sure what you mean Antoine but my T5 can happily fetch and send SMSs to and fro my SE t610 mobile. There is no known method to "push" an SMS from the phone to the T5 but some like Agendus Mail could be set to check every X minutes
What I find is that some carriers will require the full country code + phone number before the SMS is delivered properly eg +1 44 xxxxxxx

Yea, I dont seem to be getting the old messages. A push feature would be great and I have been looking for a program that does that but havent found one. Oh well, I will chill on this until I find better. Thanks anyways.

One thing I found out is that I could not collect any SMS messages from my t610 until I updated the phone drivers from palmOne support

Yea, I have the updated drivers but no success on that end. Interesting I think. I was having issues just connecting to my phone for SMS before a few days ago when it just worked out of nowhere. Now I can at least send them which is a big help.

T616 is my phone of choice...at least until the K750i gets over these ways.

I think that's essentially the same phone as mine (marketed as 610 in my part of the world). Strange, with the updated phone drivers, you should be able to fetch and send the SMS messages.

Long overdue update:
Contacted palmOne but havent heard anything from them. Last week sometime, I tried the SMS app again and it worked. I was able to send and recieve, but I dont think that I was sent an SMS directly to the T5, I always had to fetch it. Which isnt a big thing I guess. Then i had a soft reset and it didnt work. Been trying to figure out what happened for the past week and today it started working again. Cannot say what the issue was, nor how it resolved itself. But I now have SMS on my T5 and I am happy, no more T9 input for me :)

I can't get any message through my SymbianOS Nokia. Not palm1's fault tho. Using funSMS...

Antoine... I'm still having a lot of soft reset on my T5. Pretty irritating at times. Sometimes even opening Versamail causes reset. :(

I thought abuot FunSMS, but I really need to pull back on palm software (and stick to books that edify) for a while.

I get resets after syncing on my home computer, but not on the work one. Might be an issue with one of the files in the backup folder. On my work computer, I deleted the Saved Pref, Unsaved Pref, ConnectionMgr, Queries, and PsycLaunch and its been stable since then, I'll try that at home and see if that makes any changes. It seems that many of the issues have to do with the already installed programs not knowing how to handle the new RAM. Dont know when a patch is coming, but I sho nuff want one if it will make my T5 easier to live with.
