Can you use an animated gif as an icon. If so How?

BTW, the animation would take up loads of CPU time and thus also power!

but you are probably better off replacing the explorer interface of the desktop with an animation friendly desktop shell.

I finally figured out how to make animated gifs, Imageready was giving me problems, but all is well!
