.......I read this EXCELLENT review on why NOT to buy it. It is probably one of the most comprehensive reviews of ANY pda that I have ever read!

Check it out. They give props to Palm OS:

The ONLY reason why I was thinking about switching from my peg-nr70v/u was because I ordered a nz off of eBay more than 2 weeks ago (for $599 + s&h) and the company I ordered it from keeps making excuses: Well, we needed 10 days for you BidPay to clear. Mind you I used Amex which is due every month and has since been paid-in-full w/o a product to show!

Then they said after the BidPay clears our bank, we need 5 days to ship to you. That was suppose to be the 19th of this month. I emailed them on the 20th for my tracking number and they said that they were having a problem with their warehouse because at least 10 of the nzs had been opened and they needed time to conduct an audit.

Well, supposedly, they will get the results of the audit tomorrow/Monday. He tells me via email that if he can't get me an unopend one he will refund my money. At the time I said let's wait until Monday but since then I returned to eBay and one of the vendors is warning of several others vendors that were suspended or their ratings/comments were unreadable and to BEWARE.

After reading this, I checked the vendor that I was supposed to get mine from and his ratings comments are not readable either !I believe he is one of those companies that this vendor was stressing to check out before purchasing anything from them! He has 2 negatives and 184 positives and that's the reason why I bought from him to begin with.

Long story short, I hope that they honor my purchase or refund my money so I can do business with a more reputable establishment.

I just get that funny feeling that I have been had..............I HOPE LIKE HELL THAT I'M WRONG!

Comments welcomed

I was screwed out of $150. It makes me so angry. I doubt I'll ever deal with Ebay for anything again.

don't wanna pour fuel over fire.

but I've been lucky: bought my T615B, NR70V, my laptop, car alarm, digital camera, bike rack and a bunch of other stuff. had no problem, fortunatelly.

despite all the stories, I would buy on ebay again. I'll just be very very careful about it. although, from your story - I would've fallen for it too.

I buy only from people that are located near me. Good thing NYC is the center of everything :D

The good thing is that he/the company has been keeping in touch with me and anwering ALL of my emails, so I'm very hopeful that this issue will resolve itself in my favor.

I'll tell ya one thing..........it has made me even more aware of being as careful as possible when buying from online auctions.

I read the review you were talking about in your previous post, I wish these two could review everything I wanted to buy, they are great!!! However, after reading their review I wanted to buy a 5455, I thought they really liked the unit from what I read. There are 2 reasons I decided not to get it, one was the $700 price tag, the other was that no one had it in stock when I was looking (not even in inventory)>

1) I've purchased several items from eBay and all of them have been great experiences.

2) Call AMEX and tell them what is going on. They will credit your account and charge back the vendor's merchant account.

I STILL haven't received my NZ!!!!! I told him that I was being as patient as possible and that all of these excuses he's using regarding his warehouse shipper are wearing very thin. Just yeaterday, he says that the product will now be shipped on Thursday of this week and that I should get it no later than Monday of next week. He keeps giving me the option to get a refund which makes me believe that he REALLY doesn't have the product to begin with. We both agreed that if he doesn't send me a tracking number by this Friday that he was going to deposit a full refund in my C2it account, which he claims would take less than 5 business days for the transaction to occur. I swear, if I didn't want the NZ so bad...............If I do get a refund then I think I may just hold on to my money and stick with my NR !

Thanks Willber-Force!

I want to make sure to get my money back first before I go threatening him. After, I get my cash back I'm going to give him the most scathing eBay review! It's a damn shame that I have to tip-toe around him and be as nice as possible when he has MY money!

Don't threaten him. Just say it is your policy to report fraud to the FBI and say that you only mentioned this because you feel like you are getting the runaround. You paid him $600 and you have a right to be concerned especially considering the stories of fraud on eBay. Give him 'till the date he said though.

If he does take this as a threat than it would only serve as a motivation for him to give you the money/NZ regardless of his feeling towards you.

BTW One time I was about to buy a more expensive item off eBay one time and I emailed the seller to ask a question. He warned me that his account (along with his excellent feedback rating) had been hijacked.
