My UX-50 doesn't detect my wifi network and detects my neighboard's instead

It's strange, because the SSID is not hidden and the configuration is completely standard (the router is D-Link).

Any idea??

Reset your router. Try again and let us know. That happened to me to.

Try changing the wireless frequency that may help.

And make sure that it isn't using 802.11G only...needs to be in B mode also.

Does the UX50 support "shared key"? Somehow I don't see that option listed as in the TH55

I don't think so. When it comes to networking, the UX as long as most PDAs are as basic as it gets. Any little thing will cause it not to work.

Maybe that's what it's making it not working. I will try to remove the WEP encryption to see what happens then

You didn't hide your SSID on the router?

Nope

I think this issue is more related to WEP encryption.. I will try tonight to remove encryption and see what happens

I'm pretty sure that will fix it. However, you can download SONY's Mobile Connection Wizard which will allow you to handle WEP authorization. Here's the link for it:

Mobile Connection Wizard sucks!!! It was cool when I first used it then when I tried to make a new connection, it messed up my Bluetooth setup with my Phone. I deleted it and never used it again. Now I set it up manually. Works fine now.
